What Are Disposable Contact Lenses?

Disposable contact lenses are lenses that you can wear for a certain amount of time and then throw them out once you are finished wearing them. Buying contact lenses that are disposable are great for many reasons. One of the most important reasons is to keep from getting an eye infection. Old contact lenses can sometimes irritate your eyes, especially if they are starting to lose shape and form. Irritated eyes are then more prone to getting an infection.

Disposable contact lenses can be purchased to dispose of on a daily basis, or weekly basis. Always make sure that you do not try to wear your disposable lenses for longer than the recommended time. Wearing your lenses longer than advised by the optometrist will cause you to have red, irritated eyes, which can be painful. When you have eyes that are irritated, they are sensitive to light, and can often hurt. Be sure that you take the best care of your eyes as you can, by disposing of your contact lenses when you should.

You can even get disposal contact lenses, that you can sleep in. When you purchase contact lenses that are disposable and last up to a week at a time, you can wear them to bed. Being able to wear your contact lenses while you are sleeping is great for someone who does not care for the everyday task of tending to your contact lenses.

Disposable contact lenses can be purchased in colored lenses as well as clear. This is a great option for the colored contact lens wearer, as well as one who likes to keep the natural color of their eyes. When you get your contact lenses that are colored and disposable, all of your contact lenses will match in color, so that you can still change the color of your eyes.

Disposable contact lenses are excellent for taking good care of your eyes, as long as you go by the time limit your optometrist gives you for wearing them. Do not try to extend the life of your lenses for the best results, and make sure that you remember to order more before you run out.
